Billable Expenses π«
Next time you front a cost on behalf of a client, use Fiverr Workspace to automatically add the expense and receipt to the next invoice. This is great for things like event tickets, stock images, subscriptions, and lunch (if you really want that tax credit).
See more on How to Create a Billable Expense here
Ensure you have selected the Billable option on the Expense and assigned it to your Project
Once you have created the billable expense and linked it to your project it will then auto populate on your next invoice when you invoice from the project.
For example I have a billable expense for my running project called "Consulting" for $50. You can view this via the Projects tab > select the project > Expenses tab.
You can also view billable expenses via the income and expenses tab set the filter to > Billable Expenses
Now that I have created my billable expense I want to invoice my client so I can be reimbursed for the expense incurred.
To invoice your client select the project > invoice project option:
Another option to create a invoice is to select the green create + symbol > create invoice
Select invoice existing project and select the project
On the invoice you will see that the Billable Expense has been added
You can select to remove the expense from this invoice once in edit mode if required simply by selecting the invoice in edit mode > select the check box option next to the Billable Expense.
Otherwise if you are happy with everything simply continue with the workflow of creating and sending the invoice to your client for payment by selecting the next option top right > Send Invoice.
You can also add a expense directly on the invoice by selecting the > Add Expense option
Any receipts attached to the billable expense will be included with the invoice, however you do have the option to remove any receipts/attachments prior to sending you will see the option to delete/remove attachments.
