You can set up a personalized PayMe Page with your online payment options Stripe and PayPal, allowing your client to pay you directly via the invoice at the click of a button. 💵
Getting all set up with your online payment options and personal PayMe Page takes 2 minutes.
Stripe
Stripe is available internationally and you can accept payments in multiple currencies with Stripe.
To get started and connected to Stripe:
Select the Settings tab
Select the Payments tab
Select the option Stripe
Select Connect Stripe
Once selected you will see a new tab open up in your browser (ensure pop up blockers are disabled) You will be directed to activating your Stripe account.
If you have a existing Stripe account select the Sign in option located to the top right
If you are new Stripe follow the prompts and answer the questions on the form to set up your new Stripe account.
Once you have completed your information select > Authorize access to this account.
If you already have an existing Stripe account and selected the option to sign in and link your existing Stripe account to Fiverr Workspace you will be prompted to select to > connect your Stripe account to your existing account in blue.
Once you have successfully connected and linked Stripe with Fiverr Workspace you will see this via the settings tab > payments tab in green that Stripe is now connected and you can start receiving payments via Stripe on invoices, subscriptions and deposits as well as your personal PayMe page.
To Manage your payments at any time simply log into Stripe
https://stripe.com and select sign in.
You would need to log into Stripe directly to check on payments, refund payments and ensure payments are transferred to your nominated bank account set up within Stripe.
If you have your Stripe account connected to another 3rd party platform, connecting Stripe to Fiverr Workspace will create another sub account within Stripe. This is automatically done by Stripe to better organize and view payments made via 3rd party platforms.
Please note your client will have both ACH & Credit Card options displayed on the online payment/PayMe page to select from.
ACH payments take up to 5 business days to receive acknowledgment of their success or failure. Because of this, ACH payments take up to 7 business days to be reflected in your available Stripe balance and the additional 3 days to deposit to your bank account.
PayPal
PayPal is available internationally and you can accept payments in multiple currencies with Stripe. Please check the list of countries that support PayPal can be found here.
To set up and connect to PayPal:
Select the Settings tab
Select the Payments tab
Select the option PayPal
Select Connect PayPal
You will then be prompted to select to connect a PayPal Personal or Business account
For a Personal PayPal Account select > Personal and enter in your PayPal email you wish to connect with Fiverr Workspace
Then select > connect PayPal. Once connected you will see that PayPal Personal is connected and your clients can now pay you via the invoice/PayMe page using PayPal as a payment method.
It is important to ensure this is the correct PayPal email as payment will be processed via PayPal to this account.
For a Business PayPal Account select the Business option and select the green button that says > connect PayPal Business
Once you have selected > connect PayPal Business you will be directed to enter in your PayPal email and country to sign up to PayPal or log in. Proceed to follow the prompts to connect your PayPal Business account.
Once connected you will see that PayPal Business is connected and your clients can now pay you via the invoice/PayMe page using PayPal as a payment method.
To Manage your payments at any time simply log into PayPal
https://www.paypal.com/signin and select sign in. You can also navigate to PayPal via your Payments Settings tab.
If a transaction is fully funded by your PayPal balance or a bank account linked to your PayPal account the Fee is waived.
PayPal is accepted globally in most countries but not all. The list of countries that support PayPal can be found here.
Take the following steps in your PayPal account to ensure you're ready to accept online payments through Fiverr Workspace!
Login to your PayPal account and click on Profile & Settings.
Go to My Selling Tools
Click on update to Website Payment Preferences.
Scroll to the Encrypted "Website Payments" section and toggle to "OFF"
To receive guest checkout payments
Enable the PayPal Account Optional option in your account settings. The path to this option for US accounts is:Profile > Selling Preferences > Website Payment Preferences > PayPal Account Optional
Select yes.
Save the settings and try to do a test payment via your PayMe page by selecting PayPal.
Turn On/Off PayMe For Individual Invoices
You can turn on and off your PayMe Button displayed on invoices via the invoice itself via the > options tab top left of the invoice > invoice settings > accept online payments > Off/On
You can also control the main settings for all invoices/online payments via the Settings tab > Invoicing > Turn off Online Payments
Processing Fees
Stripe (and Workspace Payments if applicable)
Payments processed via Credit Card using Stripe will incur standard processing fees of 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction.
ACH payments on Stripe cost 0.80% per transaction, capped at $5, with no monthly fees or verification fees. So, a $100 payment incurs a $0.80 fee; any payments above $625 cost $5
PayPal
PayPal charges the recipient a transaction fee for each payment they receive. Additional fees may apply for cross-border transactions, foreign currency conversions and other transactions.
For more information on the fees and charges, log into your account and clickFees at the bottom of any PayPal webpage.
You can also check directly with each connected payment gateway by logging into your account via PayPal or Stripe to manage your fees, payments and withdrawals.
Alternative Payment Options
You can also set up default invoice alternative payment options directly on the invoice. To do this select the settings tab > Invoicing
Then enter in your alternative payment instructions you would like displayed on your invoices and save
General Tips:
WePay is only available to US and Canadian account holders and you will need to submit an application and complete your profile to verify your WePay account.
You can only connect PayPal, Stripe
You can remove Stripe and PayPal connections by removing your PayPal email and disconnecting Stripe.
